Auditions will start promptly at given time. Dancers will learn everything during auditions and will not need to have anything prepared ahead of time.

**No late entires will be accepted once the auditions have begun!**

Dress Code:

​

Tap - Black athletic dance attire, hair neatly off of face. Must bring tap shoes. 

​

Hip Hop - Appropriate athletic attire (no spaghetti straps), hair must be neatly off of face. Must bring hip hop sneakers that are only used for dance (No outside street shoes).

​

Jazz & Lyrical - Black athletic attire (no spaghetti straps), hair must be neatly off of face. Must have jazz and lyrical shoes. 

​

ALL Company (& Elite Company) Dancers will audition in Contemporary, Jazz, Hip Hop and Tap. Exception can be made for Tap and Hip Hop if dancer has no experience or interest in competing with that style -please notify us prior to the star of audition. 

​

Dancers new to NAoD or new to compete a Solo will no longer need to audition separately if interested in having a solo. Forms will be given to existing soloists, and new soloist will need to fill out a form at audition so we make special note during the audition process. 

​

Please arrive early to fill out audition form, receive your numbers, and to be stretched and warmed up before entering into auditions. 

​

Parents will need to attend in order to fill out audition forms. 

​

Auditions are closed to observers. There will be no viewing. 

​

Please prepare your dancer that this is a professional audition. Everyone is on an equal playing field when they walk into the audition room. Each dancer needs to be mentally prepared for any outcome.
