LOBBY / DROP-OFF & PICK-UP

Our Lobby will remain closed during this time. Parents/Guardians will walk dancer to the door or  drop off in the parking lot.  Parents/Guardians will remain in the car during class time or may leave and come back. Parent/Guardians will pick up dancer at the door or in their car if the child is old enough to walk him/herself to the car.


** Dancers MUST be dropped off on time for class as well as picked up directly after.  At this time there can be NO before/after class extended time. **

NAoD is following all CDC guidelines to provide a safe environment for your dancer

when they are in our studio!

these safety standards

CLEANING

NAoD will clean and disinfect frequently touched objects including ballet barres, chairs, bathrooms, sinks and toilets, dance floors, music equipment and surfaces between all classes.


NAoD has not only updated and cleaned our hvac system, but have acquired medical grade HEPA filter air purifying systems for all studio spaces.  We are also in the process of obtaining a dry fog disinfecting system.

EXTRA

Water fountain will be closed at this time.  Please bring personal water bottles for classes.


All dancers will keep all belongings with them.  There will be no use of cubbies or leaving of bags in halls/lobby.  Please refrain from bringing extra items to the studio at this time.


​Dancers must be able to and comfortably use the bathroom on their own.  Teachers will be unable to assist.  If a dancer is unable to independently use the restroom, a parent will be called to pick up.  Tuition will not be refunded as a limited place was purchased and taken from another dancer.

Only one dancer will be allowed to use the restroom at a time (per teacher permission) - please use the restroom prior to arriving at the studio.


All classes will have a virtual option. 


We are not mandated to follow school procedures/policies. In the event of school closings we will remain open.  In the event of a CT Stay at Home executive order, NAoD will continue with our virtual platform.



STUDIO SAFETY PROCEDURES

MASKS

NAoD staff will be required to wear masks at all times while in class.


At this time. Dancers for the 2021 dance season will be required to wear masks at all times while inside the studio.  Studios are kept at a comfortable temperature, and there will be given times for dancers to have water/breathing breaks.

  (as a reminder we also have air purifiers running at all times)


If wearing a mask during class compromises your health or safety due to a medical condition, you will be exempt from the requirement.  HOWEVER a mask MUST be worn during transition.  Per CT regulations NAoD may refuse entry to anyone who is not wearing a face covering.

CLASS SIZE

Only a certain number of dancers will be allowed in a dance studio based upon the square footage of the room. This will be determined by our local government.  We may need to adjust class sizes per local guidelines.  We have made social distancing guidelines in all studios to facilitate safe distancing.


HEALTH CHECKS

All dancers and staff will be given temperature checks upon entering the studio via a touchless infared thermometer.

Hand sanitizer will also be administered to all dancers upon arrival.  Hand washing and hand sanitizer will be required prior to leaving the studio as well.
