Norwalk Dance Academy was founded in 1999 at
St. Thomas the Apostle Church by Jennifer Laura
Risola. Within six months of opening, the program
grew from 20 students to 100. NDA relocated to a
new facility at 181 Main Street in August 2000. In
2003, NDA expanded yet again to the current 2500
square foot facility at 22 High Street in order to
accommodate the growing need for a place of study
for the well-rounded dancer.

Within minutes of Norwalk's town green,
NDA is centrally located yet tucked away
from the hustle and bustle. It is one of
Norwalk's best kept secrets, with its high
ceilings, family-friendly atmosphere and
excellent instruction. Classes are available in
dance for ages three and up, including
workshops for adults. Though specializing in
dance, NDA celebrates the broader spectrum
of performing arts by offering acrobatics, voice
lessons and musical theater.
The mission of the school
is to create an
environment where
students can have fun
doing something they love
while learning how to
work to the best of their
ability. NDA teaches
more than just dance;
lessons in self-esteem,
teamwork, confidence,
and pride in one's work
are all fostered within the
classroom setting and in
participation of
community events.
Come in for a visit! We'd love to see you.
